Sharing Our Ugly Produce (SOUP) is a program that provides multiple benefits to our communities. Each SOUP participant is involved with growing and gathering (gleaning) local produce, working together to prepare, cook, and share a meal with the community it serves.

SOUP provides access to food in a dignified way. All participants are able to take food home with them for their family and neighbour's. Any leftovers will be donated to other community organizations that provide food.

SOUP is a community kitchen that relies on teamwork to help empower individuals; providing cooking skills, resource centre, and healthy meals.

SOUP is open to anyone working on recovery, looking for employ-ability skills, seeking restorative justice hours or simply wanting to volunteer within the community.

SOUP has one chef or lead cook of the day that prepares the menu and leads the participates through food prep and cooking. Tables are set and friendships are made over a warm bowl of delicious soup!

Come and join us!
